The Yampa River is one of the last rivers in Colorado that still flows the way nature intended. It’s the river families cool off in, anglers return to year after year, and wildlife depend on for survival. But drought, development, and rising water demands are putting real pressure on this incredible place.

Friends of the Yampa is the voice making sure the river doesn’t get lost in that noise. They protect its natural flows, restore its habitats, and keep access open for the community. Their work ensures the Yampa stays wild, healthy, and alive—not just for us, but for everyone who will stand on its banks long after we’re gone.
