At Denver Kids, we believe that strong, supportive relationships have the power to help every student reach their full potential and graduate high school. It's been the heart of our mission and the springboard of our strong outcomes since 1946. Denver Kids works with more than 900 Denver Public Schools students each year, giving them a blend of academic, social-emotional, enrichment, and future planning support to unlock their full potential and achieve their dreams. 

But today, as students step into new classrooms, we face growing uncertainty. Federal and state education funding is at risk, and the vital support that Denver Kids provides could be jeopardized for those who rely on us most.

That’s why we need you more than ever.

Due to this uncertainty, Denver Kids is currently facing a $50,000 gap in funding needed to continue providing these vital services for DPS students. With you in our corner, there is nothing we cannot accomplish, including weathering cuts in education funding, providing essential social-emotional skills while some mount campaigns to diminish its value, and supporting schools that are losing teachers, critical support staff, and resources.

Your gift ensures that Denver Kids Advisors, learning opportunities, and volunteer mentors are available, no matter what the new school year brings. Together, we can keep our nearly 80-year tradition of resilience alive, helping every Denver Kids student build the skills and confidence to thrive.

Our Mission:
Denver Kids empowers students to positively shape their lives, successfully complete high school, and pursue postsecondary options.

Our Program:
There’s a success story inside every student. Our job is to partner with students to remove the barriers that may stand in their way. Doing so with evidence-based programming, compassion, and creativity—is the work of Denver Kids.

All Denver Kids students receive access to the following:

• One-on-One Advising: Relationship-driven support provided by long-term, trusted, expert Advisors.
• Social, Emotional & Academic Learning (SEAL) Tools: Infused throughout everything we do, with benchmarks and measures to ensure efficacy and continued improvement.
• College & Career Planning: Helping students explore a myriad of opportunities after high school, including college, technical training, and career exploration.
• Enrichment Experiences: Eye-opening experiences that stoke students’ curiosity and embolden their dreams.
• Mentorship: Volunteer mentors serve as another role model and cheerleader as students reach for their future goals. 

Our Outcomes:
For nearly 80 years, Denver Kids has been supporting youth to achieve real-time success and fulfill their lifelong dreams. Consider the outcomes our youth experience:

• 92% on-time graduation rate for the class of 2024
• 80% postsecondary pursuance
• 66% of our students who are pursuing postsecondary education are the first in their families to do so

Your donation provides: 

• $5 helps facilitate the first meeting between a new Denver Kids student and their Advisor.
  
• $25 supports recruitment and training for one volunteer mentor.
• $100 supports college & career exploration for one high school student. 
• $250 supports one semester of 1:1 programming for a Denver Kids high school graduate as they transition to college or career.
• $500 engages two student in Denver Kids programming outside of school, such as our annul career fair.
• $1,000 supports the the enrollment process that would enable 10 new students to join the Denver Kids program.
