Proud to share for Lucky Day Animal Rescue!

Dear friends and family,

Another year has flown by! Thanks to support from so many of you, we had a very successful 2022 as we sorted through what running an animal rescue looked like after life threw us all for a loop during covid. A very exciting announcement is that 3 new board members have joined us this year bringing us to a team of 8!

I still have a full house with 3 Lucky Day dogs, Annabelle, Tess, and Sophia, who I adore and are each so different. I would not have these amazing girls had it not been for Lucky Day. I know firsthand through adoptions and updates that hundreds of families feel that same appreciation.

Rescue/Adopt: I am amazed to say that we have adopted out over 1250 animals. Wow! That is incredible for our small rescue in 11 years! Everything from lizards and rabbits, to puppies and kittens, to seniors and medical cases.

Spay/Neuter: We have expanded our spay and neuter support into other areas of Colorado as well as areas in New Mexico and Arkansas. We have assisted with over 7,500 surgeries. This will have the biggest impact on the future of the pet over population problems. Even our small contribution helps to prevent unnecessary suffering and deaths.

Education: We are excited to be moving into a new area with our education program as we explore setting up scholarship assistance for veterinary technicians. I am very excited about this new direction as all of us are feeling the impact of lack of veterinary support in recent times.

Thank you to each who helped us during Colorado Gives Day last year to make this possible in 2022! As we plan for 2023 and what it may bring, this event allows us to prepare a more accurate budget and realistic goals to keep our organization financially balanced. By pre planning with this event, we can navigate sudden and unexpected events like when covid changed everything. We are proud to plan ahead and your help makes this possible before we enter our next fiscal year.

Your support of Lucky Day starting November 1 counts toward our Dec 6 goal, and the $1.6 million Colorado Gives Day Incentive Fund! All participating Colorado Gives Day nonprofits earn a percentage of the fund, so the more we raise, the more we get!
