RMCR receives a large percentage of dogs who have not received the proper care needed to ensure good health.
- DENTAL : Approx 33% of all dogs coming into RMCR have their teeth cleaned along with extractions. Did you know adult dogs have 42 permanent teeth?
- EYES : 28% arrived with eye infections, glaucoma or cherry-eye. Most were treated with ointments, but some required surgery.
- EARS : 18% had EAR infections. Most were treated with antibiotics and ear medication, although some needed anesthesia for deep ear cleanings.
RMCR spent a combined total more than $31,000 for these 3 treatments only in 2022 !
