Michelle's Giving Project Fundraiser

Thanks for checking out my fundraiser for the Chinook Fund! I joined the Giving Project this spring to learn about social justice philanthropy, inspired by the concept of "Change Not Charity" and empowering communities to direct lasting change at the local level.

My goal is to raise $5000 in addition to my own meaningful gift. These funds will be pooled with others in the Giving Project to be distributed back to grassroots groups working on a wide range of social change issues, including racial, economic, disability, immigrant, and LGBTQ+ justice.

• Drivers Cooperative Colorado: Drivers uniting to build a community-owned rideshare platform in Colorado in order to earn more, take control of their lives, and keep wealth in their community.
• Fortaleza Familiar: Dedicated to the wellness of Indigenous Chicanx Latinx Lesbian Gay Bi Queer Trans Two-Spirit young people and their families in Colorado. An intergenerational program that is culturally and linguistically relevant that centers on the emotional health of Latinx youth and families.
• Higher Learning U's African American/Black Young Ladies' Summit Program: Values, empowers, and equips young women with the tools they will need for a lifelong journey of personal success and achievement. Develops equitable, healthy and healing learning cultures and climates so everyone can learn.
