Chaffee Childcare Initiative

Chaffee Childcare Initiative is dedicated to creating childcare solutions in and around Chaffee County. Our purpose is to establish childcare options in our community. We strive to help find solutions to the childcare needs of parents and guardians of the youngest members of the Arkansas River Valley, Colorado. We empower parents & caregivers by helping establish options for nurturing their children through high quality, diverse childcare options. CCI is a Nonprofit 501(c)3 organization created by parents and community members in Salida, Colorado in 2019. We are currently operating a new childcare center for toddlers in a renovated historic schoolhouse in Poncha Springs. We are seeking funds to assist in operation expenses and other challenges childcare providers are facing during the pandemic. Donors will be eligible for a tax credit, instead of a deduction, for their contribution to CCI, as childcare contributions are treated differently than other non-profits.
