CO Faith Communities United to End Gun Violence

We are Colorado’s only faith-based non-profit working to end gun violence.

We believe in a future without gun violence. 

We are called to add Faith-Fueled ACTIONS to our thoughts and prayers!  We equip the people in our member congregations to take concrete ACTION, both individually and collectively, by providing resources, programming, advocacy and volunteer opportunities. Our work is grounded in a public health framework which recognizes that the gun violence epidemic in our country is a public health epidemic.

 We believe that our faith calls us to work together to...

• Honor and support victims and survivors of gun violence.

• Raise awareness about the realities of gun violence, and educate our communities about how to prevent it.

• Influence public policies aimed at reducing gun violence through advocacy

• Promote community-based efforts by building partnerships with other gun violence prevention organizations

• Provide a prophetic voice to speak against  the culture of violence proliferated by firearms
