Inclusive Cheers to the Next 20 Years!

Hi! Welcome to our family's personal fundraising page for The Rise School of Denver, a high-quality inclusive preschool that supports young children with and without disabilities. Rise officially launched as a nonprofit in 2003 when six families with young children with Down syndrome came together to create our inclusive preschool - one that has touched the lives of hundreds of families over the years since then, including ours! Evelyn was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder when she was 18 months old and while it continues to provide daily challenges, she has truly found her home at Rise.  

Evelyn, and every child at Rise, is genuinely included and valued.  She has formed genuine friendships and so has our whole family.  Her growth has been nothing short of a miracle largely due to the individualized learning goals the amazing staff creates to develop each child's strengths. She is not pulled out of the classroom to receive therapies or held out of group activities because of her disability.  We cannot stress enough how incredible this is! Rise provides a low adult-to-child ratio, master's degree teachers, highly trained teacher assistants, and expert therapists who enrich the development of every child with and without disabilities. 

In order for Rise to continue its trailblazing work as a world-class, inclusive early care and learning center and retain its staff, it relies heavily on grants and fundraising.  To keep tuition accessible and affordable for all our families, tuition only covers 43% of Rise's operating costs. The remaining 57% is raised through grants and donations, which is why we are sharing our personal fundraising page with you. The Rise School is proud to be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, but we need your help to make sure Rise is here for another 20 years! Will you donate to support the difference that Rise makes for our family and so many others?  If you donate any time between now and December 5th it will count towards their Colorado Gives Day amount.
