Thank you for visiting my page. I am raising funds for the Brian White STEM Legacy Scholarship at the Community College of Aurora. This scholarship is intended to support students pursuing engineering at CCA, and I am deeply honored to establish the inaugural award in January 2027 in memory of my son, Brian, who studied computer science at CCA.

Brian M. White was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. From an early age, he was curious, creative, and full of energy. One of his favorite childhood memories was playing in the mud and building elaborate Lego structures. On the day he picked up his tuxedo for his high school senior prom, he also made the life-changing decision to enlist in the Army.

Brian served with distinction in South Korea, Maryland, and Afghanistan. He was later invited to pursue opportunities in military academy and cyber warfare, but he chose a different path. In 2015, he moved to the Denver area to live with an Army friend from Korea and his family, and he enrolled at CCA to pursue a degree in computer science. While balancing school, he also helped care for his friend’s three children, a role that brought him immense joy. Despite the demands on his time, Brian remained committed to excellence. He worked hard, achieved a high GPA, and often did so on very little sleep. His discipline, focus, and determination were matched by a quiet humility and a strong sense of purpose. Brian graduated from CCA in 2021 and went on to join Lockheed Martin Space as an engineer, with a full scholarship to the Colorado School of Mines. He was deeply respected by those who knew him: levelheaded, thoughtful, and kind. One of the soldiers who served with him in Afghanistan, now with the Secret Service, said, “Brian was the 1% of the 1%.”

Brian was an extraordinary son, friend, soldier, student, and professional. His life reflected discipline, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference. It is my hope that through this scholarship, Brian’s legacy will continue to uplift students and help them achieve their goals, strengthen their families, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Thank you for considering a gift in Brian’s honor.
