I’m so proud to be work for an organization that allows me to provide a wide variety of high-quality music education opportunities to all kinds of students. In the past month, I’ve seen:
- Over 4,000 elementary students enter Boettcher Concert Hall for the first time with wonder and awe and then tell me afterwards how cool it was to see dancers from ArtistiCO representing the Arts District on Santa Fe, dancers from Cleo Parker Robinson Dance representing Five Points, and an original piece with rappers Chinelo Tyler and Wayne Watts called Next Stop Denver, plus the orchestra all together in our Destination Denver Youth Concert;
 - Hundreds of kids and parents excitedly coloring spooky witches as they wait in costume for our Halloween concerts to start;
 - Students from middle and high school observe a professional orchestra rehearsal, participate in a career fair put on by the different administrative departments of the Colorado Symphony, and then engage in thoughtful Q&As with our guest artists about what it’s like being a professional musician; and,
 - More buses than I care to count (over 100, with more to come!)

And that’s only in this month! Year round, the Colorado Symphony is doing the important work of making symphonic music accessible to audiences all across Colorado. I love being able to come to work and create opportunities for students to express themselves through the arts, learn language through music and movement, improve their literacy through a story time concert, or so many other things. Donating to the education department of the Colorado Symphony means that you’re directly supporting the future of live, symphonic music.
