This year, I hope you can join me in raising funds to support PorchLight, a non-profit doing great work in our community. I am proud to sit on the Board of Directors for PorchLight and hope you will join me in supporting their amazing work.
PorchLight is a Family Justice Center, a unique and innovative model that makes it easier for those experiencing trauma and abuse to get the critical services and support they need. It is estimated that when a Family Justice Center opens in a community, the domestic violence homicide rate is reduced by an average of 50%! PorchLight is one of only two Family Justice Centers serving Colorado, and needs your support to help ensure survivors and their children can continue to rely on PorchLight to be a beacon of hope and healing. At PorchLight, survivors are not alone. Over 20 different agencies are available, for free and without appointment, to support those experiencing trauma and abuse. In addition, victim advocates help navigate the network of support, empowering survivors to move forward with hope and resilience.
On-site resources include: Childcare, Protection Orders, Advocacy, Therapy, Legal Support, Pet Care, Hair Salon, Law Enforcement, Medical Care, Safety Planning, Resource Navigation, and more.
