I work at Clayton, where we understand that a whole child, whole family approach to the early years is one of the most powerful ways to address social inequities. With support from families and the community, we envision that every child's first five years will create the foundation to thrive.

Mission
Clayton Early Learning is an innovation hub that fosters thriving, equitable communities by partnering with families to nurture a whole child, whole family approach to the early years, discover what works, and advance systems change. 

Background Statement
Clayton Early Learning has been providing a better start for vulnerable children in our community for more than 100 years. Beginning with the endowment from prominent Denver business leader, George W. Clayton, the Clayton Campus has been alive with the joyous sounds of thriving children for more than a century. From its start as an orphanage and school for needy boys to reaching underserved communities today, Clayton has continuously evolved to appropriately meet the changing needs of children. While the ages and backgrounds of the children served today differ from those served initially, our mission remains the same - to help children of limited opportunity succeed. Today, we positively impact the school readiness of more than 20,000 children in Colorado annually through direct services to children and families, research and evaluation, results-driven teacher training, and focused advocacy. The innovation hub for all things early childhood, Clayton is Colorado's leading catalyst in providing and improving early care and education to ensure optimal child development during the critical prenatal-to-5 period, especially for children from backgrounds with limited opportunities. Clayton harnesses the synergy of its four-tiered approach, Training, Advocacy, Research, and Practice to advance early childhood education statewide in collaboration with other public and private entities.
