Mile High Youth Corps brings young people from diverse life experiences together to learn, work hard, and grow in service to community, the environment, and their own development.
Corpsmembers create meaningful impact in communities, explore who they are as individuals, experience diverse perspectives, pursue education, and grow to embrace service as a way of life.
We ask young adults to do things they never thought possible. Through their own choices, they gain a sense of purpose and confidence and learn to create the lives they want for themselves.
We employ, educate and train young adults ages 18-24 years old. Corpsmembers earn a wage and can pursue high school equivalency or GEDs while serving community in one of our four career pathways: Land Conservation, Energy & Water Conservation, Construction and Health & Wellness. Corpsmembers are eligible for AmeriCorps Education Awards.
"I have grown in more ways than I can count, but one of my more important lessons was in leadership. To me, leaders had thisfixed set of traits that they naturally processed or worked to develop. After meeting so many different youth leaders, each with their own style, I’ve been able to define who I am as a leader and start to realize my community role."
