As both a staff member at the Clyfford Still Museum and a parent, I’m proud to be part of an organization that truly understands what it means to welcome families. The Museum’s Art Crawl program, designed alongside early-childhood educators especially for babies and their caregivers, reflects everything I love about The Still and about Denver itself: creativity, connection, and a sense of belonging for all.

During Art Crawl, families move together through the galleries surrounded by Clyfford Still’s bold, expressive works. Guided by our skilled educators, babies respond to color and shape while caregivers connect through art, conversation, and community. What makes the program so special is our museum educators, who do not seek to control parent-child interactions. Instead, they work with babies and caregivers as they explore the art and ask questions. These program and institutional values help Art Crawl be a place of learning for everyone.

Born here in Denver, Art Crawl has become a model for museums across the country. And thanks to local partnerships, Art Crawl in Community now reaches families beyond our walls, ensuring that every caregiver and child can experience the joy of art regardless of income or access.

This Colorado Gives Day, I'm raising $2,000 to support the educators who bring Art Crawl to life. Every gift supports the creative capital of Colorado for all ages and stages of life.
