People experiencing homelessness are all around us. Some are chronic, but not all. Many want out of their situation. I started volunteering with Housed Working and Healthy in 2019 to help change the situation here in Denver. Our students last worked between 1-3 years ago.
I joined Housed Working & Healthy because I believed in what they were doing and I am overwhelmed every time I attend a graduation by the stories of the people we have helped. HWH provides the training and holistic services to support folks to become independent. We get people working again within 90-120 days.
Our students are courageous, hard-working people overcoming unconscionable trauma, barriers, lack of support, and horrible luck. Over 150 people have come to visit our program in 9 months this year! With your help we can expand and do even more in 2023 and future years.
