Marie Sanchez Memorial Scholarship

Marie Louise (Olin) Sanchez (1930-1981) had a tremendous zest for life. She was a strong woman with a commitment to lifelong learning- both in formal educational settings and in the pursuit of diverse life experiences. She balanced work and play, approaching both with energy, determination, and a powerful desire to live life to its fullest while maintaining a commitment to excellence in all that she did. Her children were left with the legacy to cherish family; share love, laughter and joy; keep meaningful traditions alive; have pride in life's accomplishments; and continue the pursuit of learning throughout life.

In memory of this beautiful, strong, joyful, and loving woman, her family has established the Marie Sanchez Memorial Scholarship Fund. The family invites others to contribute to the scholarship fund to help make higher education a reality for people who may not have the financial means to pursue their dreams without scholarship assistance.
