Colfax Half for Nora and Rylee

In February 2022, Sara and I brought into the world our twin daughters Nora Fay and Rylee Dru two weeks apart. Nora was born on February 18th at 22 weeks, and we unfortunately lost her shortly after on February 19th. Due to the incredible efforts by the team at Presbyterian St Luke’s hospital, Rylee was born 2 weeks and 1 day later, at 1 lb 7 oz. What followed was 125 tumultuous days in the NICU at the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children.

During our first week in the NICU, Sahra from Love for Lily entered our hospital room, and was a fixture of support and guidance in the days and weeks that followed. Love for Lily is an amazing organization who provides support for NICU families across the front range, helping them navigate one of the most difficult times in their life. They have touched so many lives through their selfless commitment to helping others, and Sara and I have committed to helping them succeed as we went forward from our time in the NICU.

On May 18th, I’ll be running the Colfax Half Marathon in honor of Nora and Rylee and so many other children and families who have had experiences similar to ours. We hope to raise awareness and support for Love for Lily, and hope you’ll consider donating to this amazing organization to help them support NICU families across the front range of Colorado.
