What is THE BIG STORY?
The Eight28 Campaign is a global initiative uniting organizations, communities, and changemakers to advocate for economic justice, equity, and opportunity across the African diaspora. Launched annually on August 28th, this campaign marks a day of collective action, education, and engagement - highlighting both the historical significance of the date and the ongoing need for inclusive economic empowerment.
Through partnerships, events, storytelling, and digital advocacy, Eight28 amplifies the voices of those working to close wealth gaps, support Black-owned businesses, and build sustainable, community-driven solutions.

Our story
At the African Chamber of Commerce, we’re a Black-led nonprofit dedicated to empowering small businesses in the African American community and equipping the next generation through our annual youth entrepreneurship programs.
