Love for Lily came into our lives when our daughter Rylee was born at 24 weeks and entered into a 125 day stay at the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children NICU. Two weeks earlier on February 18, we had delivered her twin sister Nora at 22 weeks, who was with us for only a brief time before she was delivered to God and served as a guardian angel for her sister and parents. Nora’s name means “light” and we want her legacy to be one which provides hope and comfort for others in the same way her memory has for us.
The Love for Lily team were there for us from day one, and has done the same for countless NICU families struggling through the long days at the hospital, managing the ins and outs of NICU care, and parents grieving the loss of a child.
Almost two years ago, I ran my first ever race as a way to raise awareness and money for Love for Lily; an organization near and dear to our family’s heart. Little did I know it’d spark a passion for running, and a means for me to continue to support this amazing organization.
They’ve supported us in so many ways and want to find opportunities to give back. So on May 17, I’ll be running the Colfax Marathon to help raise money to this incredible cause. Even a $5-10 donation will help provide small gestures towards families when they need it the most.
Our family appreciates your support!
