The Jacob Center 2025 Team Fundraiser!

Our team at The Jacob Center provides trauma-responsive counseling, youth programs, and family support services across Northern Colorado. We are a passionate, scrappy group of playful people whose approach is practical, evidence-based, and designed to foster connection and enhance well-being to support better mental health for everyone. 

This year, federal, state, and county budget cuts have reduced funding for prevention and intervention services by nearly 40% across Northern Colorado this year. We've responded by shifting toward Medicaid-aligned programs and pursuing additional grant funding, but maintaining the full scope of our services requires stronger community investment than ever before.

The need hasn't decreased. If anything, it's grown.

If you choose to support The Jacob Center, your donation directly funds:

• Emergency Assistance—food, clothing, shoes, hygiene items, rent and utilities help when families are in crisis
• Direct Counseling Services with trained trauma-responsive therapists
• Youth Activities—rock climbing, paddleboarding, biking, art classes, fishing, hiking
• Community Programs—animal volunteering, GED prep, life skills training
• Sensory and Regulation Tools—weighted blankets, sensory swings, fidgets, noise-canceling headphones
• Program Operations that keep these services accessible

Why It Matters! Trauma impacts brain development, emotional regulation, and a young person's ability to trust others. Quality interventions can interrupt these patterns. Research shows that trauma-responsive care, combined with stable relationships and skill-building activities, gives kids and families real tools to move forward.

Last year, we served over 300 families. Many were able to access support they couldn't have afforded otherwise.

Every contribution—whether it's $25 or $2,500—directly supports a young person or family getting the help they need.
