Join me as part of Chinook Fund's 2025 Spring Giving Project to mobilize money towards grassroots changemaking!

It's such an important time to come together as a community to support the essential work of the local leaders across Colorado who are shaping our future. 

Many sources of funding are diminishing for diverse community organizers right now, and we need to pitch in as a community to guarantee a future of deep and lasting community well-being.

Funds from this campaign will be spread between community organizations across Colorado, especially those leading the way towards Black Liberation and Indigenous Sovereignty. Take a look at recent grantees from this program to see this work in action!

Twice each year, Chinook Fund calls together a diverse group of community members and changemakers from across Colorado (and beyond) to study social-justice philanthropy, reflect on the role of race and class in our systems of funding & grantmaking, pool our own resources, raise funds together, and then spread them in communally-chosen amounts to amazing grassroots programs that are making fundamental and needed systemic change in our state!

I'm overjoyed to be part of the 2025 Spring Giving Project this year! Whether or not you can give today, please consider joining a future cohort to mobilize more money into essential work! 

85% of all funds from these giving projects go directly to grassroots organizations throughout the state, while the remaining 15 percent covers Chinook Fund's programs for training community organizers like me in social justice philanthropy, fundraising, and grantmaking. I can vouch that it's money well-spent!

This experience is changing my life, teaching me how to be an effective fundraiser, showing me how to navigate grantmaking systems, and giving me a profound chance to be in community with a whole group of amazing collaborators in socially-just changemaking!
