Time for an update! Diamond has had 2 vet visits since the last update and it is unbelievable news! The ulcer is healing! The first visit he said she has made remarkable improvement. Which means we could still take the eye but she now has a 60/70% chance of the ulcer healing. I asked him at last appt how often he sees improvement like this and he said never. So needless to say as her vet, he is as happy as I am! So for now we keep the eye since she has some sight still. Eventually the Glaucoma will take her sight or could become to painful. If at any time it is to painful I will not hesitate to have her eye removed for comfort. For now since we are moving in a positive direction I will continue her daily meds until we have complete healing if the ulcer, then we determine how to proceed to manage the Glaucoma. A BIG thank you to everyone who prayed and donated. Tate will be thrilled to learn how his generosity helped inspire others to give and support in so many ways. Little man Tate is a pretty special kid! Keep the love coming as we are not out of the woods yet :)



Diamond has touched countless hearts at Happiness Through Horses, becoming an irreplaceable part of our ranch family. Donated in early 2023, this spirited mare quickly won the love of our youth—teaching invaluable lessons in patience, courage, empathy, and resilience.

Recently, Diamond was diagnosed with a rare and painful eye condition, threatening to take her sight and change her world forever. She’s bravely battling to heal, but extensive veterinary treatments and ongoing specialized care have quickly added up. We need your help.

The youth at our ranch have rallied around Diamond, determined to support her just as she’s supported them. Her journey, though difficult, has already created powerful lessons in compassion and adaptability. We believe Diamond still has so much to teach—and give—to the youth who cherish her.

We urgently need support to cover Diamond’s veterinary bills and ongoing care:

  • Outstanding vet expenses: $1,200 (we've raised $750 so far!)
  • Potential surgery costs: $2,000
  • Monthly medication and care: $200+
