Hardrock 100 for Pikes Peak Suicide Prevention In Memory of Max

$1,677

raised by 20 people

$2,500 goal

Friday morning at 6am, I have the privilege of toeing the line once again at the Hardrock 100. The race starts in Silverton and takes us on a circular tour of the San Juans covering 100 miles with over 33k of vertical gain encompassing 13 mountain passes including climbing a 14er (Handies) mid race. As some of you might recall, I ran scared the last 20 miles to barely make the cutoffs and finished in 47:40 in 2023 in the opposite direction. I hope to slightly improve on that but anything under 48 hours is what really matters. My training hasn’t been stellar, but I believe I did enough and plan on practicing the mantra of perpetual forward motion to kiss the rock once again. I’m also running to honor Maxwell’s memory by raising money for Pikes Peak Suicide Prevention who have been a lifeline for me after losing Max 22 months ago.

If you’re able to donate, I am thankful. I’d also love your positive thoughts, prayers, and energy this weekend, I'm going to need it. Let's do this, Max. 🏔️❤️
