Amanda Kenyon- Beer Now, Run Later

Hi!

My name is Amanda, and I’m an average person training for a not-so-average 200-mile relay race. Our team is fundraising for The Matthews House, a local nonprofit that supports youth and families in Northern Colorado who are experiencing housing instability and substance abuse.

If you know me, you know I have a deep heart for people experiencing homelessness—especially youth and teens. I spent three years as a full-time volunteer with a nonprofit in Hawaii serving high-risk youth, teens, and individuals experiencing homelessness. That season shaped me in lasting ways and showed me how powerful stability, support, and community can be in changing someone’s story.

As I’ve learned more about The Matthews House, I’ve been struck by how closely their mission mirrors the work I was part of in Hawaii. They are making that same kind of life-changing impact right here in our local Colorado community—and I’m honored to run for them.

My team and I are excited to carry the stories of the youth and families supported by The Matthews House with us on this challenging journey. Thank you so much for partnering with me in this effort.
