CASA believes that 1:1 relationships matter most in achieving positive outcomes for youth who have experienced trauma. CASA’s Youth Alliance program connects its participants with a volunteer coach who meets them ‘where they are’ on the path to independence. In partnership with Foothills Regional Housing, the program also provides these youth with a rent-subsidized apartment at the brand new AVi complex. Once the burden of affordable housing is solved, their coach is able to help them build the necessary skills to live a healthy, self-sufficient adulthood.
Over a three year period, the coaches work with the youth to build skills in six key areas: Housing, Financial Literacy, Job Training/Education, Employment, Health & Well-Being and Social Connectedness.
