Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver is proud to honor the incredible life of former President Jimmy Carter. He passed away on December 29, 2024 at the age of 100. 

President Carter supported and championed the mission of Habitat for Humanity over nearly four decades. He is one of Habitat for Humanity’s most famous supporters and advocates, bringing vital awareness and funds to our mission. 

Here in Denver, we were incredibly honored to have met, worked alongside, and benefited from his generosity. President Carter came to Denver to work with Habitat in 2013, helping build and repair homes in the Globeville neighborhood.  

You can help continue President Carter’s legacy by helping Habitat Metro Denver continue to build homes, communities, and hope.

All money raised through this Word of Thanks campaign will support Habitat Metro Denver’s two current largest building projects of affordable homes – Mountain View Homes in Aurora, and Augustana Homes in Denver.
