Shelby's Fundraiser for Chinook Fund

Earlier this month I started a new position as the Development and Communications Manager at Chinook Fund, an organization that seeds community-led, systemic change by mobilizing resources for and trusting in grassroots social justice organizations across Colorado.

You might remember that I volunteered for something called the Giving Project in Spring 2021 – that was with Chinook Fund too! The experience fundamentally shifted my perspective on what community engagement can look like, and really made me believe in creating a community where we all can truly participate.  

Since 1987, Chinook Fund has distributed $4.5 million to more than 550 grassroots groups organizing for social change. We are proud to support organizations working to challenge the root causes of oppression - organizations that more mainstream funders may find too risky, radical, or new to give initial funding. You can check out some of the awesome grantees at: https://chinookfund.org/grantees/
