The ACE Mentor Program of Colorado supports high school students interested in architecture, engineering, construction, and related trades. Through hands-on experience with a fictional project, students explore these professions, learning each discipline's role in a project. They gain skills in drawing plans, rendering, and making presentations. At the end of the program, students present their work and have the chance to win scholarships for college or a trade school.
If you know me, you know how passionate I am about mentoring and the ACE Mentor Program of Colorado. I began mentoring with ACE in New York in 2010, and when I moved to Denver in 2018, it was the first thing I sought out. Since then, I’ve gone from mentoring students in the classroom, to serving as vice-chair of the board of directors. Now, I also mentor college students starting their careers. Yes, I’m deeply involved, because I believe in ACE’s mission and have seen firsthand the life-changing impact it has on students.
There’s no greater reward than knowing that what my students learn in the classroom helps shape their future and that our scholarships make college a reality for some.
All our mentors volunteer, and every penny we receive from donations goes directly to providing students with classroom materials and funding scholarships.
I humbly ask you to consider donating to the ACE Mentor Program of Colorado and help us continue making a difference.
Thank you!
