Update #1
You did it! You helped us meet and exceed our scholarship campaign goal and we're so grateful!
All of the campers arrived yesterday and camp has officially kicked off. It feels so good to know that everyone committed to participating in this impactful experience is included, regardless of their financial situation. Everyone who donated can feel good knowing that they have made a positive impact on young people's lives.
For the past 24 years, hundreds of talented high school musicians have participated in CCJA's unique Jazz in the Sangres Camp in Westcliffe, CO.
Students get to spend the entire week with professional jazz artists we all know & love, playing and performing in both small groups and a big band. They also participate in jam sessions, masterclasses, and outdoor activities in the quiet beauty of the Sangre de Cristo mountains.
CCJA has never turned away a student because of financial need, and this year's group requires $7,000 of scholarship support to pay for the camp's $1,020 tuition fees. Please join us in making this experience a reality, and helping these students grow in their musical abilities as well as relationships with their peers and mentors. The memories and experiences at this camp far outlast the week spent together.
This year's professional musician mentors include Jay Anderson, Charles Blenzig, Mark Patterson, Greg Gisbert, Daryl Gott, and Paul Romaine.
And a heartfelt thank you to the Patterson family for founding the Dale & Elisabeth Patterson Summer Camp Scholarship Fund!
Thank you so much for your support!
