Second Chance Center, Inc. (SCC) is building Residences on Acoma, a transformative housing development in Denver that will provide 128 permanent supportive and affordable workforce housing units. This project is designed to serve individuals and families overcoming significant challenges, including chronic homelessness and reentry into the community after incarceration.

Second Chance Center is partnering with WellPower, a nationally recognized provider of behavioral and mental health services, to ensure residents receive comprehensive support. Second Chance Center will offer career development programs and paid apprenticeships, while WellPower will lead in delivering critical supportive services.

Currently, the project is 40% complete and set to finish by November 2025. The four-story building will feature an underground parking garage, modern apartments with Energy Star appliances, and over 10,860 square feet of community space, including a secured front entry, administrative offices, a community kitchen, a lounge, and a large outdoor courtyard.

Call to Action: As construction progresses, community support is vital to help residents transition into their new homes. Donations will go toward providing furniture and other essential items to ensure residents feel comfortable and secure. These items are crucial in helping residents—many of whom are overcoming chronic homelessness or returning to the community after incarceration—truly feel at home and stay housed.

Your support can make a lasting difference in the lives of those working to rebuild their futures. Together, we can help create a place of stability, hope, and opportunity at the Residences on Acoma.
