The QRC family is deeply saddened by the passing of Harold Mastin.

Harold served as Executive Director of Quaker Ridge Camp from August 1975 through August 1998, faithfully leading the ministry for 23 years. During that time, QRC became more than a workplace for the Mastin family. Harold’s wife, Cari, served as the camp cook, while their son, Marty, and daughter, Tracy, each served in various roles throughout the years.

If you didn’t know Harold, you may have found him a little intimidating at first. But those who knew him knew a man with a big heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and an unwavering love for the Lord. He loved people, loved camp ministry, and dedicated his life to helping others encounter Christ through the work of Quaker Ridge Camp.

For 23 years, Harold didn’t just lead Quaker Ridge Camp—he helped build the ministry and community that continues to thrive today. Harold’s faithful leadership, steadfast faith, and servant’s heart laid a foundation that has impacted generations of campers, staff members, volunteers, and families. His legacy continues to be reflected in the lives of all who have experienced the ministry of QRC.

To honor Harold’s life and legacy, Quaker Ridge Camp has established the Harold Mastin Memorial Staff Housing Fund. Donations to this fund will help provide and improve housing for the year-round and seasonal staff who faithfully serve at QRC. By investing in the people who carry out the ministry each day, this fund will continue Harold’s passion for building a strong foundation for camp ministry.

We invite you to honor Harold’s memory by making a gift to the Harold Mastin Memorial Staff Housing Fund. Your generosity will help provide a welcoming, comfortable place for those who have answered God’s call to serve, ensuring that Harold’s legacy continues to impact lives for years to come.

Thank you, Harold, for your faithful service, your leadership, your friendship, and your unwavering love for the Lord. Your legacy will continue to bless Quaker Ridge Camp and all who come here to encounter Christ.
