Freedom for LGBTQ+ Coloradans

My time as a staff member of One Colorado, over a decade ago, is some of the work I am most proudest of and set me on my trajectory of becoming Dr. Leo. During that time, I worked with incredible colleagues from across the state to pave the way for making Colorado on of the safest and welcoming states for transgender people and the state with some of the most comprehensive gender-affirming care access and coverage.

Now, as a board member of One Colorado and a transgender Coloradan (again), I am asking for your financial support of this amazing organization to not just protect LGBTQ+ justice but to advance it. The next four years are going to be very hard, particularly for transgender people, but when we come together as a collective to uplift organizations like One Colorado who have a 15 year track record of making Colorado LGBTQ+ inclusive and welcoming, we can show the rest of the country what freedom actually looks like.

I will match donations for up to $1,000. Additionally, I told Nadine (the fantastic executive director of One Colorado) that I would shave off my beard if I meet my personal goal of raising $2,500 by 11:59pm on December 10th.

I know many of us feel pretty helpless right now but every dollar counts because one of democracy's most powerful tools is building community connections through organizations just like One Colorado. Trust me on this, I'm a doctor.
