Valentine Family's Run for Refugees

Join the Valentine family in fundraising on behalf of the African Community Center (ACC) as we prepare to Run for Refugees for the second year!  ACC and their refugee community members need our support now more than ever, help us make an impact! 

Now more than ever, it is crucial that we stand up for those fleeing war, persecution and violence. The suspension of the U.S Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) has already caused harm to thousands of vulnerable individuals, including children, denying them the safe refuge they desperately need.

We need your help to continue providing critical services to our refugee
and immigrant community members. 

Your donation will help provide our agency with the ability to continue services such as housing coordination, healthcare navigation, driving school for refugee women, job club and help creating resumes and interview skills, school enrollment, public benefits management, enrollment in ESL, and many other social economic programs that help refugee and immigrants rebuild safe and sustainable lives in Denver.

The African Community Center of Denver (ACC) is a refugee resettlement agency with a mission to help refugees and immigrants rebuild safe, sustainable lives in Denver. They welcome families fleeing persecution from all over the world, from countries such as Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ukraine,  and others. 

In FY2024, ACC welcomed over 1,355 refugees & immigrants- the highest number they’ve ever welcomed during a twelve month period. They need support from the community to continue providing services to the increasing number of newcomers arriving in the U.S.

 This May, supporters, volunteers, and refugee community members will come together to Run for Refugees at the Colfax Marathon races on May 17th & 18th. In addition to raising awareness for ACC, participants have the opportunity to set a fundraising goal to reach ahead of race day.

Now more than ever, ACC is in need of our support. Every donation will get me closer to reaching my goal!
