GJ Outlawz

Through the power of sports, Special Olympics CO is the driving force for inclusion and equity for children and adults with intellectual disabilities (athletes).  

Our Team GJ OUTLAWZ is based out of Grand Junction and competes in Basketball, Bowling, Bocce, Softball, Dance, Powerlifting, Track and Field. 

Our Team GJ OUTLAWZ supports adult athletes that live in a variety of homes and living situations. We support community inclusion and engagement though partnerships with all Special Olympics athletes within our community by offering a wide range of sports. It gives the athletes opportunities to choose what sports and coaches they want to participate in within their community. From full team competition to skills acquisition, each athlete gains abilities to navigate their best life. 

It costs Special Olympics CO $265 for one athlete to participate in programming each year. Programs like year-round sports, training, competitions, health screenings, and leadership opportunities. Donations above the $265 per year will also help our teams athletes with travel costs, meals while traveling, and hotel rooms. All are provided at no cost to the athletes or their families and powered by donor support.
