At our culinary teaching kitchen in southwest Denver, we invite adults who have no permanent home to join our three month program of fundamental culinary and life skills. The unhoused population we serve wants to change their lives. They want to overcome the many obstacles and barriers they face. They want to graduate the program and move into a full-time job in the community. They want to have a home and live independently. This unhoused population needs your help. Our model is housing first, along with mental health services, job training and job placement.

We at Housed Working & Healthy are at the intersection of hope and desire. Our students are courageous, hard-working people overcoming unconscionable trauma, barriers, lack of support, and horrible luck. Over 150 people have come to visit our program in the first 9 months of this year!

Many of you know that I am passionate about our unhoused population, the need for affordable housing, and the support systems to help these neighbors live a better life. I joined the board of Housed Working & Healthy to help change the situation right here in Denver. I believe in this mission. I believe in the students who walk through our kitchen doors. I believe in your desire to make a difference. It will take all of us to move the needle on the homelessness crisis in our community.

Empowering people experiencing housing instability to attain self-sufficiency and thrive while working and housed is life changing.

Join me in raising funds to sustain this critical community work.
