Home for the Holidays 2026: Paws, Hearts, and Homes

This holiday season, No Kill Colorado (NKC) is thrilled to launch our annual "Home for the Holidays" campaign, uniting compassionate Coloradans in our mission to save hundreds of homeless pets between Thanksgiving and Christmas! In partnership with SARA (Shelter and Rescue Alliance) Colorado, dedicated PACFA-licensed rescues and shelters across the state, giving our beloved dogs, cats, and ferrets the chance they deserve to find loving homes.

Last year, we reached an incredible lifesaving success, helping over 150 pets find homes. This year, we’re setting our sights even higher, aiming for 200 adoptions—and with your support, we could even reach 300!

How You Can Help

• Adopt: Open your heart and home to a senior pet, an adult animal, or a companion with special needs.

• Foster: Provide a temporary loving home to free up valuable space in local shelters.

• Donate: Every dollar contributes directly to saving lives and is 100% tax-deductible.

Last year, we achieved incredible success by helping over 150 pets find forever homes. This year, we are setting our sights even higher with a goal of 200 adoptions—and with your support, we hope to reach 300!

To support our rescue partners, NKC will donate $50 to the shelter or rescue for every eligible pet adopted during the campaign. We are focusing specifically on pets aged 3 years and older, as well as those with unique medical or behavioral needs. These incredible animals often wait the longest to be adopted, but they have endless love to give.
