True Impact Ministries Uganda Projects

This year there are two projects that are important to us at True Impact Ministries as they provide space for our students of Salem Missions to gather indoors under one roof. There are two projects below that offer specific benefits to each location, you can read the descriptions to learn more. All labor will be done be local Ugandan tradespeople. 

The first project is at Salem Christian School-Nakyenyi. Our school campus is in need of a kitchen, cafeteria, and gathering space for the children who live and attend school here. Currently the cooking and cleanup of food prep items is done outdoors regardless of weather. Students eat outdoors as there is no indoor space on the campus large enough to contain all students at one time. The estimate to construct this building is $63k.

The second project is at Salem Children's Center-NAAMA. We have been working to complete a building that will function not only as a church but as an indoor gathering space, activity center during the rainy season, and has potential for additional community outreach due to its size and layout. The foundation, brick walls, and steel roof trusses are in place with the most urgent need being the installation of sheet metal roofing to protect the building from deterioration from frequent rain. The estimate to complete the roof is $35k

We have a board member who has committed to jump start our giving campaign to fund these projects with a donation in the amount of $10k to act as a 1:1 match.

November 1st: Early giving starts through our Colorado gives page.

December 2nd: Giving Tuesday, an annual global movement to raise awareness and spread generosity. 

December 9th: Colorado gives day is an annual statewide event that encourages online donations to Colorado nonprofits. Donations on this date are eligible for a portion of the $1milion incentive fund
