Through the power of sports, Special Olympics Colorado is a champion for inclusion and equity, creating life-changing opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities (athletes).

Here in Montrose, we are proud to be part of this movement. The Montrose Recreation District offers Special Olympics bowling, basketball, swim team, track and field, golf, powerlifting, and cycling. With over 62 athletes participating year-round, our program continues to grow, bringing joy, camaraderie, and achievement to our community.

We have 20+ incredible volunteer coaches who help make our seasons possible. Your donation helps our team travel to competion, rent facilities, purchase uniforms, provide ongoing coach training, and equipment for our seven different sports teams!
