It's hard to communicate how important rivers are to me, but for anyone that knows me well, it becomes obvious. I feel the most at peace connecting with our rivers, exploring new drainages and understanding how our water moves.

These natural paths of water do exactly what they're supposed to do, and have been doing so for millennia. Rivers know how to be rivers best. In our modern world of products and development and recreation and climate change, our rivers face immense pressure. They're up against a lot, and we've seen some of the effects - low flows, high stream temperatures, degraded water quality, and strained life. Our fish, our wildlife and our community relies on these incredible rivers.

Here are Eagle River Watershed Council, we're here to help safeguard our local waterways and secure a vibrant future for us all. We're here to help our rivers be rivers, by working to restore degraded streams, provide tools for water efficiency action, connect our community to our watershed and advocate for our rivers.

In order to protect our rivers, it's going to our whole watershed. Each and everyone one of us rely on the streams flowing through our valley, and it's up to all of us to ensure they are here for the next generation.

Will you join us in protecting our rivers?

Not only does our $1.4 trillion recreational economy require water, but we're in a headwaters region, and local waterways are a source of water for more than 40 million users downstream

The Watershed Council is a responsible steward of funds - putting 78% of our total income directly towards projects and programs - and ensures that our mission to protect local waterways guides all that we do.

It would mean a lot to me if you opted to support the Watershed Council. Will you join the coalition and make a donation right now?
