Martello meets Nicky R

On one warm September day, Nicky R decided to check out a puppy available through 2 Blondes All Breed Rescue.  He wasn't sure if he was ready, but sometimes, the one you're meant to find is already on his way to you...

Martello was only three months old when they met.  A husky mix with a curious tilt to his head and big puppy eyes, he saw Nick across the space; despite the fact he was already focused on another pup, Martello made his move!

Martello walked over, stood on his hind feet, and looked straight into Nick's face. "You," his eyes said.  "You're mine."  Nick smiled and knelt down to meet him. As he scratched behind Martello's ears, the choice had already been made.  Martello had picked his person. 

From that day forward, they were inseparable. Best friends.  And one day, somewhere beyond time, Martello will see Nick again. He'll stand on his hind legs, just like that first day, and Nick will kneel down with a smile and say, "There you are, Pal.  I never stopped loving you."
