Northeastern Colorado Coalition Against Trafficking has worked in the local area to combat human trafficking since 2013. The coalition is comprised of professional law enforcement, health care, legal, human services; community agencies that help victims and survivors; with survivor leadership.
NECCAT's protocol provides direct support to cover immediate survivor needs. Requests from advocates working directly with survivors include transportation, safety, food, clothing, and personal needs. The purpose is to assist in short-term safety as the survivor & advocate work toward free choices and long-term recovery.
The average per-person support is $250; helping 14 women (several with children) in 2024-2025. We provide professional agencies with basic-need supplies such as appropriate clothing changes, kids' items, hygiene -that aren't available via public funds. Community education is an important component, as none of us want to believe human trafficking happens in our beautiful community.
Want to help a young woman escape a trafficking situation brought on only by bad teen choices? Donate $250.
Can you help buy clothing or blankets to help officers interview victims? Donate what is right for you, and we'll use it well to help.
