For 25 years, Denver Indian Family Resource Center (DIFRC) has committed to uplifting urban Native American families, ensuring the safety and well-being of our children through powerful partnerships, and family assistance to support families. DIFRC creates a nurturing, empowering space for Native families by expanding access to vital resources, championing child welfare, and enhancing our youth-led programs. Driven by the values of kinship, culture, healing, and love, we’re dedicated to helping families thrive and strengthening our community’s future.
We are able to support families and children through gift cards for groceries, school supplies, hygiene kits, clothing, diapers, and any other unique needs that families may have. We are a direct service provider, and our goal is to ensure we can help families at risk of entering the child welfare system, those who are in the throes of it, and to support parents who are reunited with their children. DIFRC continues to find ways to sustain this important direct aid program for Native American families while working with them through our resources and referral program that puts them on a path to self-reliance and resiliency.
These priorities reflect our commitment to strengthening Native families and communities by supporting youth, promoting cultural resilience, and ensuring children have the opportunity to thrive in safe and caring environments.
