PROTECTING KIDS FROM MARIJUANA

Smart Colorado is the only non-profit organization focused on protecting the health, safety and well-being of Colorado youth as marijuana becomes increasingly available and commercialized.

Colorado kids are serving as guinea pigs in a statewide marijuana commercialization experiment. The early signs are sobering:
Colorado leads the nation in youth marijuana use.
Fewer Colorado high school students now see pot as risky.
Marijuana potency has skyrocketed, increasing the damage to growing brains.

Smart Colorado works to educate kids, parents and policymakers so that we don't lose a generation to this public health threat. Despite our record of success, there is so much more work to do.

Regardless of what you think about adults using marijuana, we all should be able to agree that protecting kids from pot must be a top priority.
