Helping to Change Lives, One Child at a Time!

$1,900

$2,000 goal

Since 2010 RNL Design has been helping Griffith Centers Change the Lives of Children by participating in the Peak Challenge Mountain Ascent! Last year RNL is took their Peak Challenge hike to a whole new level by hiking the highest peak in Colorado, Mt. Elbert. RNL's 2016 hike will be August 20th hiking Mt. Democrat. Depending on the group size and weather they may try to do the loop of 14ers next to Mt. Democrat.

For many years, RNL has been raising money to help the troubled children and families served by Griffith Centers for Children. The children who come to Griffith have been victimized emotionally, physically and sexually. They come from homes that are frequent scenes of domestic violence, where the parents may be mentally ill or are abusing drugs and alcohol. Often these are homes where young people have learned to keep special secrets and are taught, or threatened never to tell. Although children live through abuse, recovery can seem impossible and without agencies like the Griffith Centers, most will never get over the anguish of their past, and will never regain their confidence or self-esteem necessary to have a better future.

Why fund raise? It helps support the children we serve. Like Emily and Katie who were neglected by their drug addicted mother and father. This summer they will be adopted after being in foster care for 3 years!
