Help us reach $10K by Monday, June 30th
for Colorado Pollinator Month! 🐝🦋🐞

The Challenge: As many of you know first hand, financial uncertainty and rising costs have reduced giving nationwide, and donors with more resources are being called on to fill cavernous gaps in funding for myriad causes left by disappearing federal grants. We are experiencing these realities here at PPAN with fewer contributions received in the first half of the year and smaller gift amounts.

The Goal: However! We know that we can close the gap with your help! True to the nature of the hive, lots of us giving just a little builds the strongest foundation for this work. More than 10,000 people receive this newsletter—will you be one to donate this week and help us close out Colorado Pollinator Month in a strong position to safeguard biodiversity year round?

Any amount you can share with PPAN this year has a big impact, as we accomplish a lot with a lean budget of under $300,000 per year. THANK YOU for considering a gift today!

Please give. Please
get involved. Please remember how powerful we are together.

*Thank you to Faith Williams who produced the amazing commissioned Colorado bug portraits you see at the top of this page for our outreach work around the Colorado Native Pollinating Insects Health Study. Originals will be available during this year's Bumble Bee Bash auction in September!

Mission

People and Pollinators Action Network protects Colorado's pollinators, communities, and ecosystems by building grassroots power and coalitions to reform land management and pesticide policies, protect and expand pollinator habitat, and educate and empower Coloradans to engage in pollinator advocacy.

Background Statement

Colorado's pollinators are in crisis—and so is our food system, and our public health.

Since 2014, People and Pollinators Action Network has taken on powerful interests, advocating to protect both pollinators and human health across Colorado.

We don't just advocate—we win.

In just ten years, we've secured wildlife protections for native pollinators, established Colorado's first pollinator highway, passed pesticide reform legislation, and engaged over 10,000 Coloradans in the fight for safer communities. We've awarded 65+ habitat grants, transitioned school districts and municipal parks to organic turf management, and built coalitions that span from Denver to rural farming communities including the Colorado Pollinator Network, Colorado Environmental Health Coalition, and Colorado Native Landscaping Coalition.

But the threats are accelerating faster than ever.

As climate change intensifies and pesticide use increases, Colorado's native bees, butterflies, and other pollinators—as well as honeybees, birds, frogs, and more—face a worsening crisis. While we are at risk of losing the biodiversity that sustains our ecosystems, our food systems, and our life support systems, PPAN and our coalition partners and members at all levels of civil society engage in tangible solutions every single day.

Your support powers solutions that work—from the statehouse to the schoolyard to your own backyard.

Every dollar you invest helps us fight for policies that protect children's health, preserve pollinator habitat, and ensure communities have the right to choose safer alternatives to toxic pesticides.
