Testimonials

"I thank PAFC for the great leadership that they've shown on age-friendly issues throughout the state. We're particularly impressed with how great the Self Directed Volunteer Teams work in terms of including so many diverse voices and in terms of the creativity in addressing many of the challenges raised by an aging population."
Wade Buchanan, Policy Director for Governor Polis and former Senior Advisor on Aging for former Governor Hickenlooper.

Background Statement

PAFC was founded by a collaboration between the Larimer County Office on Aging and the Foundation on Aging for Larimer County. In 2013 PAFC had a stakeholder's meeting. Out of that meeting, we developed four priority groups, each of which is made up of stakeholders from around Larimer County. Those priority groups are:

√ CULTURE OF AGING: To positively impact the attitudes, values and behaviors in Larimer County with regard to aging.

√ HEALTH AND WELLNESS: To ensure that Larimer County residents of middle age and beyond enjoy optimal emotional, physical and spiritual health.

√ HOUSING: To promote housing options that provide seniors with a variety of housing choices sufficient to meet their individual needs.

√ MOBILITY AND ACCESS: To ensure that all older residents in Larimer County have access to key services and quality of life opportunities.

In 2018 PAFC hired a full-time Executive Director to help manage and support the work of over 130 volunteers and collaborating partners.
