Mission
The Youth Club of Trinidad, Inc., mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens without discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identification.
Background Statement
The Youth Club of Trinidad, Inc. opened its doors on May 26, 2017 to area youth ages 6-17. We are a program that offers out of school time programming. Afterschool programs have been shown to help prevent delinquency and to close the learning gap for at risk youth. We offer a variety of programs including homework help, leadership, and Junior Master Gardeners. Positive youth development programs have been shown to significantly improve positive social skills and behaviors as well as increased school performance. We collaborate with other local organizations whenever possible to teach the children how important it is to work with others and to give back to the community. We also opened a take and bake pizza parlor to offer job skills for our older members as well as to help support our organization financially.
