Sometimes the biggest barrier to an abortion is the journey. Gloria connects women traveling for abortion care with a free, private place to stay, like an Airbnb, so cost and distance are never barriers to care. We are a small but mighty nonprofit in its first year of services, proving that a handful of passionate people can build a powerful safety net for women traveling for abortion care.

Across the country, abortion bans have forced 155,000 women per year to travel across state lines for care, often without the money or support to make that trip possible. Gloria fills this gap by matching travelers with donated short-term rentals near abortion clinics in Colorado and New Mexico. Every stay is free to the guest and powered by a growing network of local “Sidekicks” (hosts, volunteers, and donors) who open their doors and wallets to make abortion access possible.

Our model stretches limited dollars further: instead of paying hotels, we mobilize in-kind housing already sitting empty. So far, Gloria has provided over 147 nights of lodging to 72+ travelers, saving abortion funds and clinics over $22,000 in direct expenses. Guests describe their stays as “life-saving,” “a miracle,” and “absolutely amazing.”
