Nature is good for us! It’s been shown to improve our health, happiness, and well-being. Whether it’s planting trees and pollinator gardens, growing fresh produce for people in need, or creating recreational access, Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) is there with our hard-working volunteers, helping nature and people thrive.
Each year, we host more than 80 volunteer events for community members to play a BIG part in caring for Colorado, from maintaining trails to restoring wildlife habitat and harvesting urban gardens. VOC's volunteers give more than 20,000 hours of love and labor to Colorado's public lands, parks and open spaces every year. It's our 40th Anniversary this year - with your generous support, we'll have boots on the ground for 40 more years...and beyond!

Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to motivating and enabling people to become active stewards of Colorado's natural resources.
Our vision is a Colorado where ALL people connect to nature and care for our outdoor spaces.
Background Statement
It's our 40th Anniversary! Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado provides impactful opportunities for Coloradans to care for our state's cherished and unparalleled outdoors. VOC's volunteers address many of our state’s most pressing outdoor stewardship needs, including trail maintenance and construction, habitat restoration, invasive plant removal, urban gardening and more!
Since 1984, VOC’s award-winning volunteer, youth, and training programs have engaged more than 133,000 volunteers of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities in caring for Colorado’s spectacular outdoors – for a total value of $27 million in donated labor.
