Mission
The mission of St. Martin's Chamber Choir is to perform classical choral music to the highest professional standards, and to inspire appreciation of the choral art by educating audiences and the wider community through the presentation of both beloved choral works and the unearthing of forgotten hidden historical gems.
Background Statement
Now in its 32nd season, St. Martin's Chamber Choir has earned a reputation as the region's premier professional choir. With a roster of 50+ singers, Maestro Krueger has the ability to assemble elite ensembles of as few as 5 and as many as 70 singers, depending on the repertoire. The Board of Directors was first formed in 1997, and SMCC received its 501 (c) (3) status a year later.
As was Mr. Krueger's intention from the beginning, singers have been paid since 1999 for all rehearsals, concerts, recording sessions, and community and education engagements. Under Mr. Krueger's leadership the choir has released over 12 commercial CDs, including 3 on the British Toccata Classics label. SMCC recordings are regularly heard on Colorado Public Radio and on classical radio play lists across the country.
